CONTENT USE POLICY

This Content Use Policy pertains to all information contained on any websites owned and operated by the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation and its affiliate entities, including the American Pet Cancer Foundation. Unless otherwise indicated, all information contained on this website — such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and audio clips — is copyrighted by and proprietary to the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation, and may not be, in whole or in part, copied, reproduced, transmitted, displayed, performed, distributed, sublicensed, altered, stored for subsequent use, or otherwise used in whole or in part in any manner without the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation’s prior written consent, except that the user may make such temporary copies in a single computer’s RAM and hard-drive cache as are necessary to browse the website, and the user may make one permanent printout of each page of the website to be used by the user for personal and non-commercial uses which do not harm the reputation of the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation 

This website, including without limitation all Materials, is protected by Canadian and worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions. Any unauthorized copying, redistribution, reproduction or modification of the contents of this website by any person may be a violation for trademark and/or copyright laws and could subject such person to legal actions. You agree to comply with all copyright laws worldwide in your use of this website and to prevent any unauthorized copying of the Materials. 

The names, graphics, logos, icons, designs, words, titles and phrases on the website constitute trademarks and are protected in Canada and internationally. Their display on this website does not convey or create any licence or other rights in these trademarks. Any use of any or same, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization of Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation is strictly prohibited. 

To obtain permission to use or copy the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation copyrighted materials (audio, text, graphics, images, and artwork) from the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation’s websites or from the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation printed materials, please send your email request to permission@petcancerfdn.org with the subject heading “Attention: Permission Request”. 

Please provide the following in your request:

    • Information about the exact Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation material you propose to use or copy, including the title of the document, page numbers, section titles,
      and copyright dates; to use information from the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation website, include the Web address (URL) and, if possible, attach a copy of the
      specific information you wish to use
    • An explanation of how the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation information will be used and/or distributed and whether reprinted materials will be sold
    • A description of the nature of your organization or business (for-profit, not-for-profit, etc.)
    • Contact information, including your full name, telephone number, e-mail address, and/or mailing address

The Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation may grant permission to use portions of its materials if the material will be reproduced for educational purposes and if it will not be used in connection with commercial or for-profit activities. 

Permission will not be granted:

    • To use Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation material in electronic formats
    • To copy entire publications, pamphlets or other Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation printed materials.
    • To use any material or information that has been discontinued or under revision.
    • To modify or adapt Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation materials.

Please allow twenty [20] business days for requests to be processed. 

You are prohibited from contributing, posting or transmitting to this website any infringing, unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content or any content that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. 

Jurisdiction

This website and its affiliated e-commerce store fronts, (excluding any linked sites not controlled by the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation) are controlled by the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation, which is headquartered in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. The website can be accessed from all 10 Provinces and 3 territories, as well as within the United States of America and from other countries around the world. As each of these places have laws that differ from those of British Columbia, Canada, by accessing this website both you and the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation agree that the statutes and laws of the Province of British Columbia, without regard to conflicts of laws principles thereof, will apply to all matters arising from or relating to the use of this website. You and the Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation also agree and hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the Supreme Court of British Columbia with respect to such matters. The Canadian Pet Cancer Foundation makes no representation that materials on the website are appropriate or available for use in other locations and accessing them from other jurisdictions where their contents are illegal and prohibited. Those who choose to access this website from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with any and all local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
